Last Sunday when Milson Park was full of visitors adoring the famous jacaranda flowers, we quietly celebrated the 11th anniversary of our garden. After the regular working bee all volunteers sang together “Happy Birthday to us~~~!!” 🙂
Our garden principles are still much the same as our founders set out and we have grown into one of the most loved community gardens in Sydney. This could not have been achieved without our dedicated and wonderful group of volunteers past and present as well as generous support from Council, not to mention the understanding and support from our local community.
Thank you very much everyone for your contributions in many different ways!
Most photos here, courtesy of our long-time volunteer Kate Wilson, have been taken this spring. Thanks to relatively more rain than this time last year our garden is flourishing and providing us with abundant harvest every weekend.
Happy gardening everyone!
